There is a controversial view about the role of libraries in our society. While some people think that it is important to have libraries as a place to learn and get information, others believe that using computers is a better option. While both views have their merits, I am convinced that computers would be more advantageous.
On the one hand, conventional learning using books in libraries is still in great demand in many countries, particularly for people from deprived regions. Unlike computers, which are expensive to use and create a financial burden in families with low incomes, libraries are open to the public, and provide a better environment for study. There are additional chairs and tables for self-study, and also there are also people who can provide quality help to learners. For example, literature students often use libraries to get authentic information about famous writers. Additionally, because it is prohibited to make loud noises, students can solely focus on their studies.
On the other hand, some people hold the view that computers are a better option for study and learning. It is their belief that computers are versatile tools, which can benefit students more then traditional learning in libraries. Students not only use computers for basic purposes like typing and communicating, but they also have direct access to the internet, with a wide variety of learning materials. Besides using computers as a device to acquire knowledge, they can also can be used as an instrument to relieve stress or anxiety. For example, after finishing a task on computer, that requires great effort and dedication, students can play computer games to stay connected and motivated to continue their studies.
In conclusion, although libraries are still being used widely because of their affordability and leaning-based environment, I am convinced that computers are a better choice for people because of thier versatility.
