Nowadays, healthcare is basic need for every citizen. According to some people healthcare facilities cost should be pay by government. However, some people not completely agree because they have to pay with themselves.I firmly that government can make free for healthcare facilities, if not for every people but at least government can give to people who not capable of financial. In this essay, i will give both opinions along with my perspective.
Some people believe that more benefits when healthcare is completely free. Firstly, healthcare awareness rate in this country is very low, many people dont care about their health perhaps because it is very expensive for their. For example, data from the coordinating ministry of human development and cultural, the government will make it free for medical check-up for those who celebrate their birthday, this issue can make people do not worry about financial and give health awareness in the future. Secondly, in macroeconomics aspect have impact for creating jobs opportunities in health sector.
However, those who do not disagree with completely free healthcare perhaps limited budget, in middle-income country like Indonesia not all sectors have a large budget. For example, data from the ministry of finance Indonesia notice that the ministry of health Republic Indonesia only has budget 6% from total government spending budget, therefore, the government must be carefull about spending budget in health field. In addition, some people who already wealth can pay by themselves.
To sumarize, i want to underline that making decision free for healthcare field not a prime solution. Many aspect like education, defense must get attention from the goverment. Instead that, government can make free insurance for who unable to pay it.
