According to the increasing number of unfit or overweight, there have been arguments about whether sports should be forced in schools. Some people believe that it is a good solution to resolve the issue of fatness, others reckon that it can only be volunteered for the reason of self esteem and willingness. I think that it should be made compulsory due to the reasons of building up habit and environmental impact and supervised.
Many people who encounter fat issues are lack of working out, and even though they reckon they should exercise in order to be healthy, but without building up a habit, it is very difficult for them to keep or start exercising. If the educational establishments make it compulsory, they are forced to start working out, thus helping them to build up an exercise habit. For example, in China, students have to run in the early morning to start a new day, due to being fit and having a clear mind. After they graduate, these students have already built up a running habit and a strong body.
The other benefit for forcing students to do sports in schools is the environmental impact, where they can be supervised by not only the teachers but also classmates and friends. Peer pressure and competing thoughts between teenagers or kids are the most efficient ways to make a student really take action into it and consider it seriously. Take high school students as an example, they tend to take a high concern about what their friends think, and for not to be ashamed by them, students will likely be more active and more positive by competing with each other, and through this competitions in classes, they can eventually lose weight.
In conclusion, I think it is a good solution to make sports a must do in educational organizations, and to encourage them to stay in good shape
