In this time and era, almost everything has been digitalised since the advancement in technology. From identification to submitting documents in courts or even consulting a doctor. The art of meeting a person or exchanging documents is no longer like how it used to be. Some say modern technology is the pathway for the world to become an eco-friendly environment. Others say the advancement in modern technology will get rid of traditional newspapers and magazines.
It is true that traditional newspapers have now become almost obsolete due to the high demand in modern technologies. Modern technologies such as phones, tablets and computers have become relatively easy to obtain. Some people say that it is easier to read from their gadgets and not buying papers or magazines from the newsstands or bookstores. They believe by driving or having to take the public transports to attain a copy of the newspapers and magazines are cumbersome. They prefer to obtain information or read at their own ease rather than having to go through the trouble of going out. Some magazine and newspaper companies agree that it is costly to print these days. This is due to the hike in prices to print such as inks, papers etc. It is cheaper for them to go online than print. In addition to that, they argue that many people have opted for online newspapers and magazines. Gone were the days where people leave their houses to purchase things and should they continue with the old trend, they will incur losses. Consequently, not many vendors are interested in selling them as they will have to bear the costs should the papers or magazines do not sell.
To conclude, I agree that advancement of technology will eventually replace traditional newspapers and magazines due to inevitable circumstances such as a deplete in buying them traditionally.
