Band 4: Some people say that exams are a fair way of testing students (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 2 Essay)

As once Albert Einstein said “Education is not the learning of facts,but the training of the mind of think”

Most people believe that taking exam from the students are the best way of checking a level of their knowledge, while other people argue that alternative forms of taking exams are more effective. In this essay i will count advantages and disadvantages of exam

On the one hand, exams are a fair way to check students and their knowledge. During the exam, students work strictly controlled by observers, for that reason students can not cheat . Additionally,it helps students to find out what they are capable of.However, some students still cheat – carry cheat sheets, notebooks, and may carry a phone.

On the other hand,exam cause a lot of stress of students and many do not do well because of the high pressure, even if they know the material well.

In conclusion, although exams are the best way to test knowledge,but sometimes exams are not always the best way, there are many other ways to test students’ knowledge.

Some people argue that teaching children of different abilities together benefits all of them. Others believe that intelligent children should be taught separately and given special treatment. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
