Some people believe that governments should only help people inside their own country and should not spend money supporting other nations. However, I disagree with this opinion because international assistance is important in the modern world.
Firstly, many problems today are global and cannot be solved by one country alone. Issues such as natural disasters, poverty and climate change affect many parts of the world. If governments focus only on their own territory, these problems will continue grow and may become more serious. For example, when an earthquake happen in a poor country, international aid can provide food supplies, medical help and shelter for the victims. Without this support, many people could suffer even more and the recovery will take longer time.
Secondly, helping other countries can also bring advantages to the country that gives support. When governments provide assistance, they often build stronger political and economic relationships with other nations. These cooperation can lead to better trade opportunities and more stable international relations. For instance, countries which support each other during difficult times usually develop stronger partnerships in the future, which benefit both sides.
In conclusion, I disagree with the idea that governments should only help people within their own territory. Although domestic problems are important, international cooperation and support are also necessary to solve global challenges and create stronger relationships between countries.
