The modern world is changing rapidly from wired telephones to smart phones and animal carts to latest speed cars. Similarly, several people believe that education system should also include more practical knowledge, while others believe otherwise. It is important to consider theoretical learning, but the importance of practical should not be denied.
A plethora of people are satisfied with the current education system, the old methods of teaching and learning facts. According to them, the theory is the base of education. They argue that the new system would not be effective if the base is weak. Professors can increase their level of teaching but it might overburden the kids and they would barely spare any time to play and explore their childhood.
However, others are keen to revolutionize the schooling system. As practical skills are becoming gradually important, it is necessary to tutor kids various skills to aid them in becoming successful in life. Some crucial skills include coding computer systems and software, handling finances to achieve financial freedom at a young age, time management to utilize every second of their day and many other things.
In my view, with increasing unemployment and inflation rates all around the world, it is becoming extremely difficult to hire people for regular home services, such as for general mechanical repairs, a tax consultant, and to be completely reliable on them makes life far more tense. Hence, schooling children on such practical subjects would make them self-reliant in future.
In conclusion, the authorities should revise the education laws and parents should support and focus on teaching these matters with their guidance.
