In recent years, there has been a huge increase in the human lifespan. Some people think that ageing in this modern era is entirely bad, while others believe that compared to past, the life of elderly people is much better in present. In my opinion, it is difficult for ageing population to lead a better life if they do not have a proper care and love from their family.

On the one hand, some people argue that the life of the ageing population is difficult in this modern world, because of their family circumstances. Since everyone is leading a busy life style, family members do not have the time to look after their elderly parents. Nowadays, people do not find time to spend their time with their elderly parents, which creates loneliness among the elderly people. Moreover, the behavior of the family members towards their aged parents is a crucial problem faced by ageing population. For instance, there are many cases are reported around the world, where the elderly parents were abandoned by their own children.

On the other hand, some individuals believe that the life for elderly people in present is much better than it was in the past, because due to the well developed healthcare system and other basic amenities. Nowadays, most of the countries, provide better treatment for ageing population with free of cost, thus they do not want to depend on their family members for their financial help. Furthermore, certain development in technologies like smartphones and internet help people to overcome their loneliness. They can use various social media platforms for entertainment and also to connect with others, thus they can spend their free time.

In my opinion, although we have various developments for providing better life style for elderly people, love and proper care from their family members is a crucial factor to make them happy.

In conclusion, some people think that in the modern world getting old is entirely bad due to the loneliness they want to face in this situation, while other think that they can live better life style due to the improvements in healthcare system and basic amenities.
