In light of the increasing danger that rare animals are going to be extinct. Meanwhile, others contend that governments should take the responsibility of protecting them, others express strong opposition to this proposal and pay attention to the useful animal. This essay will discuss both viewpoints and explain why I support the animals which are facing extinction.
On the one hand, it is understandable why some just want to defend the practical values. According to their viewpoint, one prominent advantage is saving money in a more effective way. Since the budgets of the government are often limited, attempting to protect all the endangered species can cause financial resources to become thinner and thinner. Furthermore, certain animals provide significant economic and practical benefits to society. For example, a lot of animals can bring potential contribution to medical research, moreover others have considerable economic value because they contribute to agriculture, food production and tourism. Protecting these species can therefore help maintain important industries and support people’s livelihoods.
On the other hand, I still side with those considering that people should protect endangered animals. Due to the habitat destruction and illegal hunting, it absolutely made the rare animals go to an end. By that, humans have the responsibility to solve their own problems. In addition, even animals that have no obvious economic value may play an essential role in maintaining ecological balance. More importantly, giving priority to useful species may also create stronger incentives for local communities to participate in conservation efforts, particularly when wildlife generates income through tourism.
In conclusion, both endangered species and beneficial animals play an important role in the environment. While the helpful animals help us for economic and food resources, the rare species are human’s duty, for instance it also attracts tourists and boosts the financial. In my opinion, protecting and conserving both animals is the correct way.
