In recent years, it has been witnessed that parents encourage their kids to participate in various group activities. Some parents believe to occupy their children among themselves rather than interacting with others. Both the arguments have their own pros and cons. It has become a necessity to get involved in collective events.
Numerous people state that every individual has to go through a period of depression at some stage in their lives, and they must know a way to find happiness within themselves instead of depending on others. Hence, they prefer to prepare for that situation during their childhood. They believe that depression is the primary cause of suicides among youngsters. Therefore, it would help them to deal with such problems.
On the other hand, many guardians insist their children to play and indulge in group activities. They think that interacting with other within their age category develops their personality and character. They get to know about various situations, teaches them how to listen to others, and being trustworthy. Children develop such characteristics gradually during their teenage. Consequently, they evolve by developing vital problem solving skills, such as handling bullies, and airing their opinions at important social issues.
In my opinion, an individual should be an extrovert, as it proves helpful in various stages of life, whether to offer help to someone or in case of seeking help. The foundation of this quality is laid in their childhood. Moreover, enjoying leisure time with others assists in restricting their access to electronic gadgets.
In conclusion, parents should monitor their kid’s leisure time and make sure they engage with others rather than spending most of their time with themselves.
