There is an opinion that almost all people use e-books nowadays and therefore public libraries might disappear ,whereas other people believe that e-books might never replace paper books.Even though some people begun to not to attend the libraries and prefer electronic books, I still believe that paper books can give us incrediable emotions and specific felling of reading books that e-books are not able to provide such unusual feelings.
On the one hand, advocates of digitalisation believe that there is no need for public libraries and that there is no difference between two types of books. This is because nowadays many of our usual items have become digital. As a result, almost all documents, news and books are available in special digital platforms or in various apps. Therefore, we do not go to a public libraries because we can read our favourites in electronic format on a e-book. Moreover, there are still some books that are not accessiable as e-books.
On the other hand, opponents who support traditional paper books assume that there is a big difference between reading paper books and online books. The reason for this is that when we read electronic books, we do not have as much concentration as when we reading paper books.Moreover, some people love thee real feeling of reading such as smell of paper book or the turning of pages.Thus, emotions and imagination that are receive from paper books are more colourful, and it is an evidence that some people still prefer public libraries.
In conclusion, thought people may vary in their opinions, I am firmily convinced that public libraries will disappear. This is due to the fact that concentration while reading paper books is higher than we reading electronic books, and emotions that people can get from them are more memorable. This proves that public libraries are still necessary and should not be closed.
