Some people argue that watching and reading news is a time-consuming activity, since the informatives is not related to the actual facts. I strongly disagree with this view, as the news mostly help the people news to acquire knowledge of the world.
One one hand, some might argue that the newspaper and tv news provide fake information, therefore, it is a wastage of time. There are news channels and publishing media manipulated by political people. Moreover that, the rating of the news increase with the interesting facts they put forward to the audience. In such cases, the news will be beyond facts and mostly trying to satisfy the curiosity of the people. Therefore, it will be a waste of time.
On the other hand, why I do not hold the view is that news paper reading skill. Therefore, a part of nonourishing one’s reaching skill. Therefore, it will not be consuming their time when moving to new channels whether it is not fake or genuine, it plays major part in improving the language skills. If the person is trying to learn a language, watching news will be a better option for them. In addition to that, broadcasters follow the relevant information for the reason that people have the facility to check whether the news is related to the people’s lives.
In conclusion, while there are valid arguments on both sides, I believe that reading newspaper or watching news on TV help to improve the language skill as well as reading skill. Therefore, it will not be a time-consuming thing but a medium to acquire knowledge of the incidents around us.
