In the contemporary era, technology plays a crucial role in education. While some argue that schools should equip students with technology equipment, others believe that traditional learning methods are more beneficial for them. I completely agree that providing students with technology is important and argued that it is beneficial for digital literacy and improving searching skills.
The first reason why I agree with the given idea is that it helps to enhance digital literacy. Technology is an important part of our life, and learning about technology will help individuals in their future career. For example, if schools provide students with technology devices, they will engage in technology, so these individuals can explore having interest and ability in IT-related subjects. As a result it will help them to choose their future career path right and can develop themselves in this field which may assist in advancement in digital knowledge level. Therefore, not only does using technology tools help them to learn about technology, but it can also contribute to enhancing technological ability.
Additionally, using technology equipment at school can pose an interest among the children. In other words, learning traditional methods can be boring for the children, and using technology devices during lessons may evoke a sense of interest in students and they can focus on the lesson better. For instance, during the lesson the teacher can give some tasks on the computer, which will require searching about new topic before the teacher’s explanation. So it makes students interesting, as they will do it independently and help them improve problem-solving skills. Thereby, not only will students be interested in the lessons more, but it will also help them search and learn something independently.
