Many people think that the main purpose of marketing is to push up the sale of items that consumers do not truly require. It is necessary to improve a company’s sales so that it can sustain itself. Although few people argue that it is a waste of money, however, I certainly agree with the statement.
The company makes products to sell and earn money; for this, they strategize. Some household products, like brooms, candles, and washroom items, are advertised by famous, trending actors and models. Regardless, brands want their own goods to be sold in high volume by attracting customers using offers like buy one, get one free, and discounts. For instance, on social media, some advertisement campaigners have adopted such trendy posts to combine with their promotions to entice certain audiences.
In my opinion, any good and useful item finds its way to consumers, or with little investment in marketing to bring awareness about product availability is only required. As well as, there are commercials that care about the target audience, and they provide them with information on different sorts of goods and services that they need. For example, a program for learning English, aiming to improve language learners’ fluency, shows its advertisements to only relevant customers by using the latest technology so that targets’ needs are cared for.
To conclude, the main purpose of advertisement is to help customers know about products and how to use them. Many companies invest in advertising to increase their sales and improve their revenue.
