Some believe that health facilities should be given top prioritiy by governments when they decide how to spend the taxes, however, some people think that it has to be spent for more important works and development purposes. This essay discusses both sides of the arguement and explain that taxpayers’ money can be used for useful purposes like education, public transportation instead of only prioritizing health care.
Health care is a primary facility that governments focus on providing to their people. This is because of the increase in fatal dieases like cancer and heart problems which has high treatment costs. This can be difficult to afford to people who have low family income. For instance, in India, there are free medical checkup for everybody in government owned hospitals which makes health care more accessible and affordable. Thus, due to increase in dieases governments prioritize medical facilities to reduce mortality rate.
However, I believe that there are other areas that a governement should give equal importance and spend revenue wisely. By investing money on education, public transportation and environmental issues like pollution and deforestation can also improve the economy of the country. For example, if governements encourage people to use local buses and trains by making it frequent, cheap and accessible can reduce traffic issues and significantly reduce air pollution. This leads to a healthier environment which indirectly reduces health problems.
To conclude, although medical facility is important governments should prioritise other important departments which also require improvements like public transportation, education and environmental issues. Focusing on these areas can also improve the economy of the country.
