People have different views whether governments should take care of the older people or put more emphasis on education for young generation. While caring about elders can be seen as a necessary, I firmly believe that focusing on investment of the education for youngsters is more important.
On the one hand, it is vital that authorities take care about well-being of older people. This is because elderly are too old to look after themselves, their children can behave carelessly towards them, and because of exorbitant costs in medical care. There are many cases in which older people had to rely on their own children, but they too busy to concern about the parent’s health, in addition elderly can not afford to receive proper treatment. In other words governments in charge to help the elderly if it is necessary. The argument goes that, if older people can not receive appropriate treatment then it would have disastrous consequences in our society.
However, I believe that investing in younger generation even more important. The reason for this is that better educational system lead to the development of the country. Young generation can receive proper education, which can be very crucial and beneficial for their later life. As a result youngsters can financially support themselves when they become old. Governments should focus more on improving the education in rural areas. This is mainly because these areas do not have many educatiomal opportunities for the young generation who wants to progress and passion about their future. As a result country can not have enough people who can contribute to the development of the nation.
In conclusion, although it is of critical importance that governments should take care of elders, but it seems to me that improving education system for youngsters even more important.
