In today’s multicultural world, some people argue that news has no influence in people’s life and that reading newspapers is a waste of time. However, I totally disagree with this point. News sources like websites, television programs and newspapers play an enormous role in our lives by keeping us connected to the world. They also offer valuable knowledge of a variety of themes through global news, helping us with understanding of what is happening in the world.
Firstly, television news programs and news encourage global awareness, letting people stay connected with events that are happening worldwide. In our century of technological evolution, news is constantly reported from every corner of the planet, delivered directly to homes through the world wide net or newspapers. Now-a-days individuals can have access to any information about events across the globe. For instance, a lot of television programs, such as CNN, EuroNews, BBC, DailyMail inform important international news making it easy for people to stay updated.
Furthermore, television and newspapers can enhance our knowledge by providing any information on a wide range of themes, including culture, science, tech breakthroughs, etc. When people read newspapers or watch any TV news programs, they not only stay tuned, but gain insights as well. For example, news programs often report on discoveries or new inventions, which help viewers make their knowledge richer and wider. My father watches the news every day, and when we have dinner, he is always telling us what he learned about by showing interesting facts and discoveries.
Overall, while some may argue that news are irrelevant to someone’s personal life and that following them is a waste of time, I strongly disagree. News programms and newspapers are valuable sources of global connection and a ways to get more knowledge, which allows people to stay informed and engaged with the whole world.
