In the contemporary world, it is widely believed that students should focus more on science subjects, while some people believe that courses that foster creativity are also essential as mathematics and science. I strongly believe that having a hybrid approach is the most effective way of studying, for students would be able to choose a more appropriate profession for their future.
On the one hand, STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) fields develop students’ critical thinking and problem solving skills. These subjects assist to ameliorate understanding of the world and train brains. For example, by solving problems in maths pupils’ left hemisphere start to work and by this, individuals develop their logical thinking and analytical skills. Moreover, it provides opportunities for employment and drives technological advancements and economic growth. Because professions in these fields are perched on a high demand, and there is a high potential of finding well-paid jobs.
On the other hand, learning art and music is also crucial for teenagers’ development. This domain of education is beneficial for reducing stress and anxiety. By engaging in music, many people find tranquillity and swallow. Furthermore, arts play a significant role in innovation, as they cultivate creativity. This sphere of schooling compels students to think outside of the box and experiment with new ideas, therefore helps to become a more rounded person.
My contention is that striking a balance is the best way for the future of the youngsters. Educational institutions should offer equal opportunities for both academic and artistic fields and allow them to broaden their knowledge in a variety of skills for the future.
