People have different views about cars’ effect on the environment. While some think that cars should be forbidden in order to reduce air pollution, others think that cars are not the only contributors to air pollution. I completely disagree with this idea, and in the upcoming paragraphs, I will try to explore it with some examples.
Firstly, cars are not the main cause of air pollution. There are some serious factors, apart from cars. One of these is that in many parts of the world, flora is being wiped out. What I mean by this is that plants contribute to keeping the condition of the air stable. They relentlessly clean the air by inhaling polluted air and exhaling clean air. However, in the last decade, deforestation has escalated, and this has affected air pollution. Secondly, many cars on the road are not harmful to the atmosphere since they are becoming eco-friendly by running on electricity.
Another point to consider is that, apart from cars, planes and factories contribute to air pollution. Compared to factories and airplanes, the toxic gases emitted by cars are nothing compared to large factories and airplanes. Many factories work continuously, in other words, they pollute the air day and night. A single plane emits as much toxic gas as several cars. They pollute the air a lot during flights.
To sum up, I think it is wrong to blame only cars for air pollution. Even if cars are banned, the condition of the air will not change significantly. Instead, it is better to deal with the main causes of pollution, such as planes, factories and cutting trees.
