In our society, there are talks about the fact that NGOs have to help people from their own state. While others believe in helping people from all over the world who need this help the most. I would side with the latter opinion on the basis of human solidarity and morality.
Local charity organization, according to one point of view, is supposed to help and dedicate its time to the domestic level, by aiding regional communities and citizens. Donation that are the main part of the organisation’s badge comes from the local population. People of the country want their donated funds to be a part of contribution to the solution of local issues. Having said that, such an approach will enrich and contribute tremendously to the well-being of a whole country.
Help from charities on the local level is crucial for countries. However, major problems in other regions seldom require obtaining more financial aid and attention. Cases of post-war or revolutionary ruined countries at some point need help more than anyone. Cooperation between global and local charities could help people in need, without even a roof over their heads, or provide the means to stay alive. By definition, charity organisations are obliged to provide help to those who are in greatest need, and sometimes without separating people by their location.
In conclusion, concerns over the donation distribution are valid, but sometimes it is necessary to give a helping hand to our neighbor. After all, those funds can do more good somewhere else.
