Some people think that children should be raised by the whole family, not only by parents. My position is that bringing up a child with other members of the family is a positive idea.
The main point to raise the children only by parents is that different values and methods of education of other members of the family could lead to problems. As family members have different set of minds and opinions on certain things, it makes difficult for a child to follow them. For example, parents want their child to study math from a young age, however grandparents insist that it is too early for a child to learn subjects as math. As a result, parents of a child and grandparents could have a family conflict, followed by a deep confusion of a child, which will have negative psychological consequences in the future.
However, raising children by the whole family could be useful for social skills development. When children are interacting with other members of the family during family meetings or staying up on weekends: it will be helpful for getting used to being surrounded by different people. Which has a positive effect on how a child is socializing with other people, not only with parents, who they used to talk with from their birth. For instance, children who spend time with their grandparents could easily get along with the older generation generally. So, bringing up children by other family members helps to prepare for socializing with various individuals in a big world in the future.
In conclusion, some people believe that raising a child with the whole family is a positive development. In my opinion it is true, it will be more useful for children to be raided not only by their parents.
