Band 5+: Some people think that children should have limited screen time each day while others think they should be free to use screens as much as they want

Many people have different opinions about children’s screen time. Some believe that children spend only limited amount of time using digital devices, while others think they should have freedom to decide for themselves how long to use them.

On the one hand, many people think children should have limit to the screen time. An excessive amount of time spent on phones or tablets have negative effect to their health. For example, it can reduce physical activity, cause sleep problems and lack of physical activity. In addition, children spend too much time on screens have been fewer face to face interactions with family and friends. As a result, their language development and social skills are not improve as well as other children. Therefore, setting daily limit can help children have healthier and more balanced lifestyle.

On the other hand, some people believe that children should be free to use screens as much as they want. For example, children can watch educational videos, attended online classes and search useful information. They also communicate with their friends and family through social media and messaging apps. However, parents should still guide their children and to ensure they use technology with responsible way.

In conclusion, although screens useful for learning and communication, children should not use without limits. Reasonable amount of screen time help them enjoy the benefits of technology while protecting their health and overall development.
