There are divided opinions about weather children should spend more time learning academic subjects or focusing on practical skills. Some people believe that children should spend more time for learning their academic subjects while others argue that to focus on enhancing practical skills. Both perspectives have their own merits and limitation. Therefore, presenting my opinions, both viewpoints will be examined.
Examining formal view, the primary reason is that they can get various knowledge from different programs by spending more time to learn them. It helps them to improve their skills by learning academic courses. For example, they can not only solve analytics problems by learning maths but also develop their communication skills by learning language subjects, such as English, Hindi, and others. As a result, if children spend more time to learn schooling subjects, they will develop multitasking and teamwork during study. Moreover, it assists them to find their interest after learning various subjects.
On the other hand, many people believe that practical skills is more important than learning academic subjects. Addressing the benefits of practical skills, it provides detailed information and on-hand experience during schooling. To to add this, practical experience help them to understand tough subjects or theories that are difficult to learn without practical. For instance, science students are easily understand anatony theories and other experimental sujdects like biology and physics by doing active leaning. Thus, they perform well in the exam because they are doing practicals to understand them during class.
In my opinion, leaning academic programs and practical skills both are essential to develope children’s overall growth.
In conclusion, learning academic programs enhance their multitasking and collaboration skills while practical skills provide in depth knowledge about subjects.
