The issue of whether a child should be allowed to independently explore or left to do sports and other activities has sparked a considerable debate. Some individuals believe that children should occupy themselves doing sports and music in their leisure time. While there are those who argue that they are independent to play and discover around. I will be elaborating these views followed by my opinion in the essay below.
On one hand, proponent of those who believe that children should play sports or learn music often state that this helps to open career pathways. These activities are often done in the expert guidance. This professional training may assist them to master a particular sport or music they are learning and this eventually may open multiple carrier opportunities. This is also evident that children who do sports activities often develop discipline. These activities requires an individual to have a proper routine and a healthy diet. These children ends up developing a disciplined life, which also has its long-term effects . To exemplify, in India classical music is usually thought early in the morning, this helps the child to sleep and wake up early, thereby, developing disciplined routine.
On the other hand, those who argue that they should be left to explore and play often says that this helps to foster creativity. When a child plays on their own, they question themselves, and in an attempt to find answers, they develop creative mind and ideas. Opponents also say that this helps kids to develop rational decision-making skills. When kids discover new things without any assistance, they are usually behind a logical explanation for its existence. This logical approach helps to develop rational decision-making skills.
To conclude, although the planned training help kids to develop career and discipline for their future, unassisted exploration aids them to foster creativity and skills to make rational decisions. I believe that they should be free to navigate as this broaden their mental horizon and helps them to become a better individual.
