People have different views about the appropriate age for children to start formal education. While some believe that starting school as early as possible brings significant advantages, others argue that beginning at the age of seven is more beneficial. This essay discuss both views before presenting my opinion.
On the one hand, some argue that early educations benefits in terms of cognitive and emotional development can outweigh the drawbacks. Supporters of this view believe that beginning the formal education as early as possible can accelerate the cognitive and emotional development in children. For example, only through early education, can we hope to increasing the responsibility in our future generations at an early ages. This is because not only does it allowing children to form friendships, but also it assists them to learn discipline, and adapt to a routine, which makes them responsible staff in the future. From this perspective, it is believed that beginning the formal education as early as possible bring cuntless notable benefits like the development of responsibility at an astonishing rate.
On the other hand, those who support starting the education at the age of seven believe that this age is more aligned with their natural cognitive and emotional development. They claim that young children learn best through play rather than formal instruction. For instance, countries like Finland consistently achieve high academic results thanks to the starting of formal education at the age of seven. A key reason behind this opinion is late schooling doesn’t harm educational outcomes. Moreover, delaying school allows children to spend more time with their families, which is great, since after childhood years, youngsters are more prone spend their countless hours in their education rather than with their families and relatives.
In my opinion, even though it is true that early education brings a number of benefits, delaying education is more ideal choice due to childhood memories. Kids should spend their childhood times in entertaining way, and it is not necessary for them to be the victim of education at an early ages.
To conclude, although there are convincing arguements on both sides, I firmly believe that starting the education at seven is ideal due to a number of academic successful countries like Finland and time for their families.
