In the present day, the number of violent activities has increased substantially. Some people think that criminal behavior is inherited, while others believe that only circumstances can lead people to crime. The essay outlines both perspectives along with my opinion.
Genetic factors may play a role in predisposing certain individuals to criminal behavior in certain individuals. A genetic background positive forCriminal behavior does not mean that the individual will develop it later in life. In fact, most individuals who have a criminal biological parent do not become criminals. But the offspring of criminal biological parents may have a greater chance of engaging in criminal behavior than the offspring of non-criminal biological parents. For instance, Amarjeet Sada, the world’s youngest serial killer who killed three children, was identified with inherited criminal behavior, which has been elevated in poor family backgrounds.
However, circumstances may also lead to criminal behavior. There is a close relationship between drug abuse and crime. Drug abusers commit crimes to pay for their drugs. Many criminals are under the influence of drugs while committing crimes. There was a direct relationship between the level of drug abuse, the type of drug, and the crimes. With increased drug abuse, the delinquency rate and its intensity increased. Addicts are forced to commit crimes to acquire drugs.
In conclusion, my opinion is that circumstances can lead people to crime. Individuals without jobs and accommodations are forced to violate the law in order to survive. Thus, many people consider poverty to be the main cause of crime worldwide. Economists and researchers believe that when the rate of unemployment is declining, the rate of criminal activities is also falling. There are usually high rates of unemployment in areas where crimes are very high.
