It is believed that government should limit detailed information about crimes that are written in newspapers and on television because of the detrimental consequences. I completely agree with this opinion because violent information may distract the public from other news and negatively influence their overall well-being.
First and foremost, negative information about crimes and violence often overshadows other essential news. Reading articles about death or brutal activities, readers will not pay attention to the positive things like political decisions, celebrations and entertainments. For example, knowing about violent murder that happened recently, all social media and people will focus only on this information and details. This can lead to many arguments and disputes among people about certain crime and zero feedback about another city’s activity. That’s why it is important for the government to place restrictions on this in order to avoid public reactions and opinions.
Another important consideration is that brutal information may directly influence people’s emotional and physical well-being. People who are extremely vulnerable to violent information may experience considerable emotional stress and fear. For instance, young generation that is not emotionally strong enough might face psychological traumas and emotional struggles. This will affect their relationships and behaviour in the future among other people. Consequently, violent information about crimes can negatively influence the future citizens and should be limited.
All things considered, I strongly believe that government should place restrictions on this type of information. Psychological traumas, fear and disagreements among people can be stopped if authorities focus only on necessary information and will not give all detail about certain crime.
