There is no denying the fact that a large segment of educational institutions tend to enter digital advices into the educational system. While it is a commonly held belief that printed books should be replaced with advices such as laptops or tablets. In my opinion, I consider that existing these tools in schools may impact negatively on pupils’ well-being.
To begin with, studies have emphasized that exposure to screen for long time will damage eyes. In other words, with the development of technologies, eyes problems have increased significantly in some communities. Therefore, there are concerns to increasing this issue with students, and affects their health. In addition, many studies have shown that touching papers at reading time could accelerate the understanding. For instance, students who are learning with textbooks have an understanding level higher than who learning from screens.
Another point to consider is that increasing the amusing time during classes’ periods. It is also possible to say that pupils might use these tools for palying games or texting companions, which will reduce the overall concentration. Moreover, relying on digital tools will require to regularly practical fixation, but the problem is if a student face a disruption during the classroom. For example, a pupil have a disruption during the math competition, that would create a psychological problem and stress.
To conclude, despite people having different views. I believe that this measure might have several consequences on overall psychological situation of students, but also have some benefits.
