It is argued that schools should substitute digital learning tools for traditional paper-based books. I completely agree with this suggestion because electronic gadgets offer greater convenience for students and reduce the risk of losing learning materials.
First of all, replacing heavy physical textbooks with tablets or special digital devices has a positive impact on students’ health for multiple reasons. This is because many young students are required to carry at least five or six heavy books every day, which have a detrimental impact on their shoulders and backs. Therefore, the governments should raise awareness of this issue and encourage schools to adopt electronic gadgets. For example, studies have shown that transporting heavy bags in daily routine can contribute to back pain, and nowadays most students are facing this problem.
Another significant advantage of digital learning tools is that they reduce the risk of losing learning materials. If students use tablets during lessons, they will store and save all of their notes and study materials in cloud storage, and making them easier to access whenever needed. Some students have problem with memory, and in some cases before exam week or in urgent situations they can get their lecture notes easier. For example, students preparing for IELTS can save their written notes on a computer and review them at any time without worrying about losing important information.
To conclude, from aforementioned arguments, I firmly believe that replacing paper based textbooks with digital devices can enhance studying ways because of their greater convenience.
