Nowadays some people think that employers should not think about their employees clothes because most important thing is the quality of their work . Personally, I totally agree with this statement. Employees are often more productive when they dress comfortably. However in some fields dresscode is important it can ensures equality and discipline in the workplace.
Work quality is more important than appearance, In many fields such as technology and industry workers can work productively when they dress comfortably. For instance in some giant companies, like Google, Apple and Samsung has a lot of comforts for employees such as gym, cafe and they allowed to wear casual attire. It can increase creativity of their workers. Additionally Enforcing dresscodes may create unnecessary stress on employees.
On the other hand appearance plays crucial role in some fields such as banking, law and customer service if people don’t wear formal attire in bank it can cause to stratification. And also wearing uniforms ensure cleanliness and safety. For example doctors and nurses must wear uniform while construction workers should wear protective gear to prevent accidents.
