A few human beings are more prone to satisfy in the current moment, instead of making plans for the foreseeable future. However, I agree that living in the present has more positive effects over planning for two main reasons.
One of the reasons why I think that satisfaction with the present is crucial and essential in order to improve our contentment in being conscious of all the decisions and actions we pursue. In constantly developed and changed tendencies and the world on the whole, it is important to maintain our level of qualified lifestyle and ability to stay mentally sustainable. Being aware of evaluating our professional and personal processes and growth are the main guarantees to save the stability in life and be sure that we continue to make small steps towards the goal we set up. The idea of dividing the aim into an achievable plan in terms of time and resources, makes the dream come true faster and easier to target, not in a stressful way.
The other reason is hidden in a frequent change of consumed endless content people get from the various sources of information. It is convenient to build plans for the future, because of an illusion of having an understanding, what we intend to do with our job, where we are going to travel on the upcoming holiday. Actually, it is impossible to imagine a control over all the circumstances some people can face. Obviously, there are unsuspected situations that are hard to manage. People tend to be disappointed due to the reason for cancelling or postponing the idea, that was suspected to be realised in the future, to an extreme demotivation, frustration and apathy in all the aspects of our career goals or personal objectives, hoped to be completed.
In conclusion, I do believe that raising awareness of focusing on the present has more fruitful flows in terms of maintaining our condition that is equal to being happy with the decisions and results in all areas of life. In contrast, unexpected situations can ruin our plans that have more negative influences.
