Nowadays some people think that enjoying the present is more important than planning for the future and I mostly disagree with this statement for two main reasons.
First of all, the life of an average person can be compared to random processes in Russian roulette: some moments are fortunate, however bad days can also occur. Therefore, planning for the future gives people a better chance of spending their time wisely, rather than merely enjoying the present moment, as it can serve as a kind of insurance against unexpected problems. This approach is important, because in the majority of cases spontaneous accidents can cost an arm and a leg. Moreover people who think ahead are usually better emotionally prepared for difficult situations. As a result, they are able to solve problems more effectively and experience less stress.
Second of all, failing to plan for the future often results in poor time management, particularly in the case of short-term events such as weekends, holidays or vacations. When people have uncertain plans and prepare poorly, they may end up with fewer meaningful options for relaxation and entertainment. Although spontaneity can create a sense of freedom, it often prevents people from making the best use of their time and fully enjoying the present. In addition planning time properly allows people to organize activities more efficiently and avoid wasting opportunities. This can make vacations and free time more memorable.
In conclusion, I disagree that enjoying the present is more important than planning for the future. By preparing in a proper way, people not only avoid troubles and unpleasant circumstances, but also create some of the best moments of their lives.
