It is believed that the need to increase the cost of fuel used for transportation is the responsibility of the government to deal with environmental issues. I concur with this viewpoint due to its impacts on the environment.
There are many compelling reasons why fuel used in transport needs to be more expensive for nature protection. Firstly, fossil fuel is one of the most valuable resources in the world, however, the overconsumption of human activities in decades has made this resource lose a significant amount of itself. Raising the cost of fuel can be a good way to preserve the adequate amount of this resource for maintaining the environment balance and future generations. For example, the British government has recently introduced a policy involves making the price of fuel become more expensive so that they can save enough fuel for restoring the balance of the degrading nature.
Furthermore, many citizens would gradually find spending money on fuel which is unlikely affordable compared to the past can be a nuisance when traveling on their vehicles, especially for those who have average income. As a result, they will prefer public transport like buses or electricity-based cars due to their affordability and convenience and more importantly, they are environmentally friendly. The evidence is suggested by the rising number of city dwellers preferred going to work by buses to using cars after the rising price of fuel became unaffordable to many of them.
In conclusion, I strongly agree with those who say that the government is responsible for rasing the price of fuel used in transport. This change not only preserve the amount of fuel in the future, it can possibly change the lifestyle of the citizens as well.
