In the modern day, people have more free time on their hands than ever before, and a lot of them try to feel the adrenaline rush of doing something exciting and risky, which leads to the increase of popularity for dangerous sports. However, some people are saying that those types of activities should be banned, while others claim that people should have the right to do whatever they want, and I somewhat agree with the first opinion.
First and foremost, dangerous sports, as their name imply, are dangerous and can lead to injuries and even death in some extreme cases. While usually people have an instructor, who is a professional and knows what to do, some companies when offering risky activities let you go all on your own, with all of the safety precautions in the hands of a client who could be doing this for the first time in their lifes. It should also be noted that a lot of dangerous sports can damage the environment. As an example, snowboarding in the mountains can cause avalanches, parachute jumping and helicopter skiing both consume a lot of diesel fuel, and bull fighting requires animal cruelty.
However, dangerous sports also give you a feeling unlike any other. The adrenaline rush from them is unique, with not other ways for a human to experience it, and if done safely, with proper training and a professional observing the whole process, ready to help or call emergency services if needed, those activities actually pose no threat at all. And if someone wants to do something stupid and risky, they should have the freedom to do it.
In conclusion, while dangerous sports can lead to damages to both the person doing it and the environment, the feeling of excitement from them can not compare to anything else, which is why I think that while a complete ban of such activities from the government is going too far, more regulations and safety precautions should be implemented.
