A lot of individuals think that the government should spend most of its money on public services like academics and healthcare, instead of investing on arts and entertainment. I totally agree on this view because healthcare and education are very important. It provides new methods to take care of certain diseases and academics can give problem solving minds.
Firstly, authorities should have more focus on spending on healthcare because many serious diseases are emerging. Nowadays, due to pollution and the food people prefer to eat is extremely unhealthy. Factories are polluting the environment by producing such kinds of foodstuffs that just have a good taste instead of focusing on any nutritional value. These actions give rise to new diseases and most of the healthcare departments are not ready and unaware of treatment. Secondly, education should also be considered important when it comes to investment because education decides the future of the state. Government should heavily invest in providing up to date education so that its citizens can invent new things and not remain backwards in this fast era.
On the other hand, arts and entertainment is just a wastage of time which leads to distraction. People develop a habit of keeping themselves busy in watching movies, playing video games, having late night parties etc. Due to this, they stop taking care of their health and can not focus towards studies. Moreover, most of the money is misused by buying expensive arts, concert tickets and get themselves addicted to drugs which isn’t good for future of a country.
To conclude it, I believe that spending money on arts and entertainment will provide no benefit to the governement as it has lots of harmfull effects, instead most of the investment should be done on healthcare and education, as healthcare will provide resources to tackle diseases more effectively and education can bring inventions.
