Societal demands have become dynamic in recent years, prompting nations to prioritize on service delivery. Proponents believe that the government should channel its funds towards creativity while opponents assert that focus should be on learning and health. While arts foster talent growth and generate income, wellness of the nation is also key for reduction of morbidity and mortality, and education breeds professionals. This essay will explore both views and present my opinion.
On the one hand, institutions should focus on a holistic view of capacity building for its citizens.Furthermore,music ,cinema and theatrics should be financed through awareness ,education ,and registration.Historicaly,art was viewed more of a hobby with little input towards the economy.However,the contemporary society has witnessed emergence of artists who have not only become societal figures ,but also a source of revenue to many. In addition, the market generates a significant percentage to the economy basket, hence, governments and stakeholders should build capacity and incorporate artists as key contributors to its growth.
On the other hand, a heathy nation is a fruitful nation; therefore, institutions should ensure that tax payers money finances health programs aimed at reducing morbidity and mortality. Moreover, education plays a significant role in molding learners and creating future professionals. Undoubtedly, these are the major key players that play a pivotal role in stability of any nation. For instances countries have witnessed a breakthrough in provision of free primary health care, and education which proven to be successful. However, corruption remains rampant in many third world nations and accountability should be sought to enhance seamless service delivery.
In conclusion, I strongly assert that a nation can only advance when all aspects are geared to empower its citizens. Simply put, both aspects of financing arts, health and education should be incorporated by the states. Ultimately, not only will citizens be empowered but the countries will also benefit immensely.
