Nowadays, there is an ongoing debate about whether people in the modern world are becoming more dependent on each other or more independent. While some people believe that individuals are increasingly relying on one another, I believe that independence is becoming a more popular trend in modern society.
On the one hand, there are valid reasons why some people believe that individuals are becoming more dependent on each other. This is primarily because many services and achievements nowadays are the results of cooperation between people. Relying on others can help individuals accomplish things that may otherwise be impossible. For example, the rice ATM in Vietnam was initially an unusual and seemingly impossible idea during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it was successfully developed by a team of young engineers who combined their different skills and relied on each other. Therefore, it is understandable why some people believe that dependence and cooperation are still important in the modern world.
On the other hand, others are convinced that people are becoming increasingly self-reliant. The main reason is that the development of technology allows individuals to solve many problems without needing direct support from other people. Nowadays, people have greater opportunities to manage their finances, education and daily lives independently. For instance, artificial intelligence can provide people with information about various problems and suggest ways to solve them. AI also creates opportunities for young people to work independently, earn money and develop their own lifestyles. As a result, many people are becoming less dependent on others in their everyday lives.
In conclusion, although some people argue that individuals are becoming more dependent on each other because cooperation can make seemingly impossible things possible, I believe that independence is becoming increasingly popular. The development of AI and convenient technologies enables people, particularly young people, to solve problems independently and create their own lifestyles
