Nowadays, as modern society becomes more sensitive, the debates over human rights have been especially ubiquitous. There are some people who think that contemporaries still depend on each other throughout the whole life. However, others argue that nations value privacy more; thus, they tend to rely only to themselves. While both perspectives hold merit, I believe that today people are increasingly self-sufficient as the Internet allows them to find answers for all possible questions and find solutions to problems.
On the one hand, it is irrefutable that psychologically human beings should always be ruled by someone more powerful as it is in their nature. Moreover, some find it easier to blame consequences or other people, who were involved, for personal mistakes. Finally, some aspects of life, for example, medicine, safety, or politics, are in control of individuals as not everyone has enough knowledge or experience to solve complex problems. Therefore, all these reasons make it impossible for nations to become fully individualistic and independent of each other.
On the other hand, artificial intellegence and industrial revolution replaced numerous professionals. Moreover, people do not require help anymore as they can ask, for instance, Google or ChatGPT a question and get an exhaustive answer. In other words, modern individuals are more educated in all aspects of life; thus, they are able to deal with difficulties independently. Thirdly, the growing trend of an essence of self-value and confidence made people realise that there is no one they can trust as much as they respect themselves. Consequently, humans should not look for help from anyone.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that it is beneficial for society to be more self-supporting in order to escape dependence from others. In addition, people, who are confident, have more freedom.
