Money is a core part of our economic life in society, and it is important to use it wisely. Some people think money should be spent freely, while the others prefer to save it.
Many people have different opinions considering this topic, which I will discuss now.
On the one hand, people who prefer spending money when they are available believe they should live a good life in the present rather than in the vague future. Many people have a fear of missing out, which may lead to uncontrollable money spending. In addition, people who prefer to spend money freely point out the fact that everything is far too expensive, so they do not have a reason to save up.
On the other hand, people who spend money wisely underline that their savings may be useful in difficult life situations. For instance, losing a job or health problems. Secondly, saving up can reduce overbuying useless things, which may be bought just to get some dopamine. Instead, people may think twice before buying something they don’t need. Finally, wise money spending helps a person to save up to get something they are really in need of. As an example, it’s easier to save up for a house if you try to not spend your money in overpriced coffee shops.
Overall, I tend to agree that money should be saved up and spent wisely. Nevertheless, I believe people should let themselves spend small parts of their savings freely. There’s no need to restrain yourself from every waste of money, after all.
