Money is a powerful tool in deciding a nation’s economic situation, therefore it is often argued that it should be incurred to strengthen the economy. However, saving money is beneficial for people themselves , others argue. In my opinion, expending on necessary expenses while saving some for future is a wise move.
Spending money, to begin, results in GDP growth of a nation. That is to say, when people buy things some taxes in form of GST or HST are being deducted from the price they pay for a particular product, which adds value in Government’ s reserve. In Canada, for example, particularly in Ontario 13% tax is applied on every kind of purchase, thus economy gets stronger. Apart from that, buying more encourages production locally as well as globally that enhances imports and exports, leading to overall growth of economy.
Contrasting the above notion, saving money halts use-and-throw culture which is crucial for not only environment but for a person as well because buying a lot many things makes his/her materialistic. As it has been seen that in order to accomodate more things, person tries to get rid of older one that he/she throws out , which pollute environment. Moreover, saving money is of utmost importance for future. As future is uncertain and emergency can be happened at any time, so if individuals save it then if any such situation occurs they would have peaceful life.
From my perspective, a person should spend as much as his/her pocket allows. If he/she earning well, then should be no doubt about buying things they like. But, there should be some amount saved as an emergency fund for future.
In conclusion, although spending money paves a way for fosterin a country’ s economy, some money should be saved for future.
