Band 5+: Some people think that it is fine for professional sportsmen and sportswomen to misbehave on or off the field, as long as they are playing well. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Nowadays, there is a considerable debate about whether sports personalities are privilleged to behave roudly with their fellow players or with general public. I disagree with this notion and believe that players should demonstrate good behaviour for the following reasons.

Firstly, all around the world, people play different games to stay healthy and live their lives to the fullest because games play an important role in well-being of our mental and body health. However, many people adopt different sports as their hobbies and follow different sports personalities as a role model to improve their performance in their favorite games. They not only follow their game techniques, whereas their behavior with co-players and in the routine matters as well. Therefore, players should try not to misbehave during match or outside while surrounding with the general public, otherwise, it could not only disrupt disciplin of game but disproportinately affect behavior of their fans as well.

Secondly, due to technological advancements youngsters are more interested in playing video games and watching movies on the internet instead of playing physical games and such lifestyle is effecting them sychologically and physically. Anxiety, dipression, obesity and various heart diseases are most common problems in youth. That’s why, it is responsibility of athletes to be a role model of youth so they participate more in physical games. However this is only possible if performers maintain good behavior in the field and outside of the field. In addition, games are one of the sources of entertainment and when participants involve in different personal clashes then they not only disrupt the beauty of game as well as mis-educate their viewers. As a result they stop watching games and get involve in other different activities.

In conclusion, I do not support the bad behavior of professional players and firmly believe that they should not be part of any conspiracy because their inappropriate behaviour could damge the popularity of their teams and particular game as well.
