One school thought that city dwellers’ health are affected by life in urban areas. While others are of the opinion that life in urban areas is beneficial for city residents’ health, I would contend that the citizens’ health is harmed by city life.
On the one hand, It is understandable that why some hold the belief that living in the big cities is advantageous. The key rationale is that the development of medical facilities is provided to the citizens, leading to the reduction of hazardous pathogens and boosting the health population rate. As a result, the city has been liveable in recent years. Nevertheless, It is important to note that many rural areas are increasingly upgrading to a modern healthcare system. For instance, a number of hospitals are established in the countryside. Therefore, rural residents can against various diseases without traveling to the city.
On the other hand, I am persuaded that living in cities can deteriorate the public’s health. The primary root is that a variety of types of environmental pollution are witnessed in urban areas. Take the air pollution as an instance, which is caused mainly by vehicular emission, leading to respiratory problems such as asthma becoming common. Additionally, the lack of recreational areas and green space that are replaced for several infrastructures and skyscrapers is one of the cause leading to a rise in health issues such as obesity and diabetes. As a consequence, Living in the urban area is disadvantageous to citizen’s health.
In conclusion, while there are valid reasons for the belief that the city is a liveable accommodation with the development of the healthcare system, I would contend that it might harm the city residents’ health in various ways.
