It is sometimes believed that advanced communication technology is having a negative impact on social relationships. From my perspective, I strongly disagree with this point.
On the one hand, it can be understandable why some individuals believe that advanced communication technology has negative effect on social relationships. Perhaps the key reason for this is that communicating technology makes people tend to depend on communication technologies such as smart phones or computer to communicate with others. As a result, people might reduce face-to-face interaction that might make people’ s relationships fade. Additionally, developing communication technology make people have less practical interaction and meeting that might lead to the lack of some necessarily social skills that are exemplified by critical thinking skills and communicating skills.
On the other hand, I strongly disagree with that point and I believe that advanced communication technology brings a lot of benefits. First and foremost, these modern technologies help people around the world can easily communicate with each other. This help people can connect to their friends and families without waiting for hours by advanced and smart technologies. As a result, people can strengthen their social relationships without worrying about distances. In addition, with the improvement of communicate technologies, people nowadays can have chances to live in a more convenient and better society and also help them promote their social relationships. From these reasons above, I think that developing communicate technologies can make our life better.
In conclusion, while some individuals argued that modern communication technologies are having a negative influence on social relationships, I believe that its advantages outweigh. We should find the way to promote and improve communicate technology to help all people have chances to apply it effectively.
