There is an argument that new architectures in each area have to be harmonized with previous buildings. On the other hand, others suggest that each person should have rights to choose their own accommodation style.
Compelling the new architectures to have to match with previous buildings might boost a tourism. As we know, popular traveling destinations mostly have a clear character. For example, Santorini has white and blue buildings and Edinburgh has gothic style architectures. On the other hand, the mortgage might rises because of additional costs, which some styles require more detailed decoration, such as classic and old money.
Giving rights to choose building styles could enable people to show their creativity from more choices of architecture. Moreover, lots of sustainable buildings might be created due to unlimited types of material and house structure, but there are some disadvantages from this too. Firstly, the character of the town might be abolished, especially the traditional architecture that requires lots of preservation fees.
In my opinion, each person should be able to choose how their house would be built, but the traditional accommodation must be preserved too. Therefore, we could use other methods to make young people still remember them. For example, mixing traditional art with modern buildings by using antique patterns to decorate and organize exhibitions to educate children and teenagers.
Overall, people should be able to decide their home design, but traditional architectures should not be forgotten too. Hence, we should organize exhibitions and encourage entrepreneurs to combine local arts with their modern accommodations.
