It is arguable by some whether conventional fossil fuels should be switched by green energy resources. While this trend has the power to positively influence various parts of environment and society life, there are also certain drawbacks. This essay will discuss this trend from different points of views.
The primary advantage of using renewable energy instead of fossil fuels is a positive impact on ecological circumstances. Green energy resources such as biomass, solar and wind are considered as more reliable and safer than different types of fuels since they do not have dangerous emissions into the atmosphere caused by burning of fuels. Furthermore, maintaining green energy sources has more economical profit, in other words is cheaper, particularly in the long run. As a result, by using renewable energy not only various ecological issues may be solved or at least mitigated but also people may decrease the costs and save money.
On the other hand, despite the positive aspects given above, certain disadvantages can be also marked. Currently, not all countries have proper conditions for replacing traditional fossil fuels due to differences in climate or geographical location. For example, solar panels set in Russia are unlikely to provide sufficient amounts of energy as it could be in more southern countries. Moreover, even in an appropriate geographical zone contemporary green resources hardly may fully replace fuels as their efficiency limitations.
In conclusion, while there are a variety of beneficial advantages by using renewable energy instead of traditional fossil fuels such as positive influences on ecological environment and economic profit, the drawbacks also should be taken into account.
