Some people think that schools should teach students how to use modern technology, while others believe that traditional subjects such as history and literature have more important. However, I believe that studying school subjects is more significant than teaching modern technology.
First of all, we should understand that technology is our future. It gives us a lot of opportunity to do work easier and our life more comfortable. For instance, companies implementing AI into their workflow to decrease expences. Moreover, AI gives an opportunity to study without a teacher. Students can understand topics with AI that they couldn’t understand during the subject because of an amount of students that preventing to explain a topic one by one to people who couldn’t understand. Therefore, AI can act as indiviual mentor so possibility of increasing a GPA is become higher.
However, school subjects have advantages that modern technology hasn’t. Teaching school subjects gives a basic knowledge about the different spheres that expands students’ horizons. Hence, students can make vital decisions from a different point of view. Moreover, school lessons have a more chance to have concentrated students. Changing the lessons every 45 minutes, which gives brain a new different information, helps to keep a high concentration.
From my perspective, while both arguments have merit, I strongly believe that we have no need to teach specifically how to use modern technology. Recent research shows that even two-year-old kids are capable to use online streaming platforms by themselves. Moreover, people actively use AI in daily life, though there wasn’t any special courses teaching it. It shows us that using modern technology is not so hard to teach specifically.
In conclusion, I think that modern technology is our future, though it is not hard to use them. So I think that teaching students how to use modern technology is unjustified to say that it is more important than traditional subjects.
