There is a debate about which form of study is needed to prosper in life. Some people believe that the best way to be successful in life is to obtain a university education, while others argue that this is no longer necessary. Below, I will give reasons to support my position.
On the one side, there are two main underlying explanations for having university degree. One of them is better job opportunities. Many high-paying careers require a degree doctor, lawyer, engineer, and also employers prefer candidates with qualifications. For example, in most jobs such as doctor, police officer, and teacher, a university degree is needed for promotion; without a degree, they continue to be low paid and remain at that level. Lastly, having higher education qualification is the skill development. universities teach critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with improving communication and teamwork skills.
On the other hand, others believe that university is no longer the only route to success. In modern life, when most employers require practical experience from employees, a degree certificate becomes unnecessary. Starting a business does not always require a degree, and practical experience can be more valuable. For instance, Steve Jobs did not complete university but became highly successful due to his experience and motivation. Finally, occupations like plumbing, mechanics, and graphic design can bring high income with only vocational training. Technical jobs are highly in demand because each season they are in demand from clients.
In conclusion, while university education remains an important route to success for many people, it is no longer the only option. Both academic qualifications and practical experience can lead to a successful life, depending on the individual’s circumstances and aspirations.
