For a majority of people ,being successful in life is highly linked to higher education, thereby attaining their career aspirations. This is because when people encounter multifaceted challenges, there is a guarantee that they could be solved by critical thinking skills. Regardless of these factors, some deny that vast reliance on education may result in academic pressure and I agree with this belief.
Supporters of the view who puts emphasis on academic performance believe that education involves not only knowledge, but also helps to become more open-minded and ability to deal with major issues firsthand. For instance, once China conducted an experiment on residents, concerning contentious situations in life, a large amount of individuals failed due to the lack of intellectual development and those who had master’s degree were able to encounter them briefly. This shows that knowledge plays a huge role in practical occasions. Despite this, I firmly believe that education is just a prerequisite for job entry requirements and success is not only about career.
Critics of the idea of university attendance claim that it is possible to accomplish in anything with a vast resource of opportunities in the 21st century. This is because many people have built profitable businesses without a diploma from universities, with the quick and effective way of acquisition of comprehensive skills. In addition, higher education requires time commitments and substantial expenses which is not affordable to youngsters. Nowadays, creativity and flexibility to adapt to new changes are much more vital than academic qualifications in a certain field. Even though diplomas have a significant role in job opportunities, I still contend that agility outweighs the bureaucracy in educational instituitions.
In conclusion, regardless of the benefits of knowledge may open, I side with those who belive that flexibility and personal experiences matter more. Because, qualifications place additional burnout and requires excessive money. With the advancements in technology and the internet it is much easier to acquire essential skills with the speed of a light.
