Band 4: Some people think that the best way to solve environmental problems is increasing the cost of fuel for cars and other vehicles. To what extent do you agree or disagree? (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 2 Essay)

It is argued that rising the cost of fuel for vehicles is on of the best ways to make healthy environment. I completely disagree with the statement.

There are a number of reasons why I believe that increasing the cost of fuel for vehicles isn’t a best way to solve environmental problems. One possible reason is that there aren’t enough alternative of fuel so the price of transport will be going up. In fact, there will be a huge effect on commuter’s workers. Furthermore, the transportation of goods by road will be expensive. So, without finding the alternative solution, increasing the price of fuel will not benefit the environment much.

In addition, there are so many sectors who are running by fuel like the farmers who use fuel-powered machines for agricultural activities will face big trouble. Finally, majority of the people likes fuel-powered vehicle than electric car. So middle class people will not be able to afford the cost but high-class people will must affording that. That’s the reasons we can’t completely reduce the use of fuel by increasing it’s cost.

In conclusion, considering the factors discussed above, I believe that increasing the cost of fuel will be generate heavy problem rather than solving environmental problem.
