It is believed by many people that abolishing college tuition fees should be made public for all citizens from different backgrounds so that every student can have the right to pursue higher education. I completely agree with this opinion, as I will present each point before giving the final conclusion.
On the individual level, being entitled to attend tertiary education is a good opportunity to change people’s lives. This is because it offers a higher chance of getting a stable job with good salaries and benefits, especially for underprivileged families. For example, people from small villages in mountainous areas often do not have the ability to offer their children a chance to attend university. They have to carry a lot of responsibilities such as earning money and raising their children in very difficult conditions. As a result, a free-college policy partly reduces their burden and gives their children a better life in the future.
Moreover, people with higher education have the ability to work better and contribute to the country’s overall development. This is because they have the knowledge to work creatively and efficiently while also fostering stronger problem-solving skills. For example, an employee with a higher level of education will know how to behave properly in front of partners and colleagues, resulting in a better working environment. They are also more capable of offering creative ideas and high-quality work. This demonstrates that a more educated workforce can ensure better contributions, advancing both themselves and their country.
To conclude, providing free-of-charge education is a great policy that gives everyone, regardless of their background, the chance to express themselves and use their knowledge, contributing to the nation’s general development in the future.
